General Court Information

The Lafayette County Circuit Clerk, Deana Aversman, was elected to this office in 1994. Prior to her election, she worked in the Saline County office for 11 years.  She is a current member of the Court Clerk Education Committee and the Court’s Commission on Civil Justice Reform by appointment of the Supreme Court, the Civil Focus Group, the State’s Case Management Oversight Team  Sub-Committee, the Implementation and Planning Task Team for Show Me Courts and a past member of the Clerical Weighted Workload Committee, the Tuition Reimbursement Committee, the Rural Courts Network Project team, the Mentoring Sub-Committee, the 21st Century Workforce work group, the COR 8 Revision Committee and the Court Clerk Handbook Committee.  

Deana completed level 1 of the Court Management Programs as offered by the National Center for State Courts in May, 2016 and served as a faculty member of the Missouri Court Management Institute from 2014 to 2017.


The office currently utilizes the Judicial Information System (JIS) for case processing and case management. This system has been enhanced by the adoption of electronic filing by registered users and enables the electronic transfer of information to Public case information is available to viewers online by accessing the Missouri Courts website at and clicking on the link. You will find other valuable information at this site as well.
