The Lafayette County Planning & Zoning office is located at 1106 Main Street in Lexington Mo. This office is a half block northeast of the County Courthouse, in the basement of the Dryer Annex.

The Planning & Zoning Office is under the direction of the County Commission and has a Planning & Zoning Board that processes requests from land owners and businesses pertaining to Planning & Zoning issues concerning Lafayette County. Once these requests go through the set process, recommendations are made to the County Commission for final approval.

The day to day operation of the Planning & Zoning office is under the direction of Joan Fahrmeier, Planning & Zoning Coordinator.
