Planning and Zoning - FAQ

Lafayette County Planning & Zoning

The Lafayette County Planning & Zoning office is located at 1106 Main Street in Lexington Mo. The office is 1/2 block North East of the main Court House on the north side of main street in the Dyer Annex building in the basement.

Lafayette County Planing & Zoning is under the direction of the County Commission and has a Planning & Zoning board complied of Lafayette County citizens that are appointed by the County Commission. This zoning board considers re-zoning requests in addition to other business concerning Planning & Zoning. Once the requestor goes through the set process a decision is made by the board and recommendation is made to the County Commission for final approval.

The day to day operations of the Planning & Zoning office is under the direction of Joan Fahrmeier Planning & Zoning Coordinator.
