Assessment Real Property Inspector and Zoning Enforcement Officer

The Lafayette County Assessor and Planning Department are in search of a candidate for a shared full-time position to conduct real estate inspections as well as enforce planning regulations. Lafayette County offers a comprehensive benefit package, including medical and retirement.

JOB DUTIES
Assessment Real Property Inspector Job Duties:
•Discover, research and inventory of improvements to real property.
•Perform site visits to take measurements, note condition and grade of improvements, and obtain photographs of the same.
•Provide detailed, clear, and concise notes from site visits for proper data entry and assessment.
•Communicate with property owners as necessary.
•Other duties as assigned by the Assessor.

Enforcement Officer Job Duties:
•Research and investigate complaints.
•Perform site visits and take pictures.
•Prepare and issue violation notices and orders.
•Communicate and negotiate with property owners to find an appropriate resolution.
•Maintain detailed case files and manage violation case tracking spreadsheet.
•Coordinate with Prosecutor and other departments as needed.
•Other duties as assigned by the Planning Administrator.

Full-Time Road Workers.  Previous experience with equipment operation and a valid CDL preferred. Pay will be based on experience.  Foreman starting at $25/hr, Worker with CDL $22/hr, non CDL $20/hr. Benefit package included.

Background Check

Commissioned Jailer/Non-Commissioned Jailer

As a Jailer/Deputy, you are responsible for the safety and security of staff, inmates and the building overall. You will be transporting inmates to and from doctor appointments, legal visitations, court hearings and recreational times. We also book, bond and search all inmates that come through our doors; with this comes money handling, court
paperwork, computer work and basic filing skills. Cell searches and inmate pod
searches are also done on a regular.
This job requires a high level of attention to detail and attentiveness to possible security threats. This job also requires a hard work ethic, as it is fast paced.
We also do all the meal services, laundry services and cleaning services of the jail
house.
We hire commissioned and non-commissioned. All training will be done on site.
Pay starts at $17.30 an hour, but we can do pay increase based on experience.
Valid Driver's License is required.
High school diploma or GED is required.
